DEAR COLLEAGUES !

The organizers cordially invite You to participate in 9th International Conference 'Methodological Aspects of Scanning Probe Microscopy– 2010' , which will be held in Minsk on October 12-15, 2010. The conference venue is A.V.Luikov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute of the Na-tional Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Since 1996, the conference had the title “Byelarussian Seminar on Scanning Probe Microscopy” (BelSPM or BySPM). Since 2006 it was renamed to 'Methodological Aspects of Scanning Probe Microscopy'. In 2010, it was decided to elevate the meeting status to ‘conference.’

The aim of the 9th Conference BelSPM is to provide place for discussion of recent achievements in SPM methods, and their use for scientific and applied tasks.

The official languages of the conference are Russian and English (no translation service will be provided).

BySPM-IX  •••  SCHEDULE  

The conference program will include plenary lectures (including invited) and short contributed presentations. The attendees can make poster presentations as well, according to their wish.

Scheduled are two sessions per day (morning and day) with coffee breaks.

  

BySPM-IX  •••  PUBLICATION  

The Conference Proceeding book will be published prior the conference and will be provided to the participants at registration. The manuscripts should be sent to the Organizing Committee not later than May 28, 2010 (the number of the conference topical section is required). Paper can be sent by e-mail (preferable) or by an ordinary mail (hardcopy and a disk with file(s) should be included). The preferred paper legth is about 5-6 pages A4 (the exact allowable size will be determined after processing of registration data).

At the manuscript preparation please use:
DEMANDS of the publisher (pdf, 136 kB / in Russian).
MANUSCRIPT SAMPLE (paper to be presented for publication) (doc, 38 kB).
IMAGE SAMPLE (grayscale image / SPM image attached to the paper to be presented for publication) (tif, 320 kB).
DIAGRAM SAMPLE (diagram attached to the paper to be presented for publication) (tif, 300 kB).

Please, entitle the files applied to the Conference according to the name of its first author. If you apply more than one paper, please add in the file name the paper number. Fo rexample, Familyname1.doc.
Entitle the illustrations files in the same way just adding "Fig##" at the name end , for example, Familyname1-Fig08.tif.
It is also convenient to compress all the fies relating to one paper in one archive file (by, for example, RAR, ZIP, 7Z etc.) entitling the resulting archive similar to the paper inside.

  

BySPM-IX  •••  CONFERENCE FEE  

The conference fee is EUR50.00 (or equal amount in Belarusian rubles, BYR). The fee can be paid in cash upon arrival, or can be made by bank transfer (please contact the Organizing Committee for the payment details). The reduced fee for students and accompanying persons is EUR25.00. The conference fee will cover publishing of the proceedings and part of organization expenses. The representatives of companies that produce (or distribute) nanotechnology equipment, the conference fee is EUR200.00 (when presenting the product).

  

BySPM-IX  •••  ACCOMODATION  

The Conference organizers can reserve rooms for the participants(in hotels near the conference venue). The approximate cost per night is BYR90,000-200,000 (about USD35-70) - in a single room, ** - *** hotel. Alternative possibilities can be arranged by request.
